Blush: The Season’s Hottest Color!

We are pretty obsessed with all of the spring fashions that are coming out online and in the print catalogs (we are swooning over the Anthropologie catalog, as we do every season!), and one common them we have seen is the gorgeous blush color that is just about everywhere. The color is universally flattering, and so pretty, but you may be wondering how to wear it if pastel, girly pieces aren’t your thing. Here’s the good news: the color is so prominent, that you can find a way to wear it in some capacity and still stick to your personal style palette. Here are some of our favorite pieces:

Blush sneakers. Pink is a bit of an unexpected color for a sneaker, but they look surprisingly pretty and casual with jeans or black yoga tights. These New Balance sneakers are not only comfortable, they work well as a neutral; pair them with grey, charcoal, or black, to elevate a simple outfit to one with a little bit of color. If the vintage sneaker look isn’t for you, try these sportier Adidas in a lighter shade.

Blush Tote: This tote has been sold out for months, but you may luck out if you keep checking the Madewell and Nordstrom website. It’s so pretty, and even more beautiful in person. It holds everything from a laptop to your school books, and is more polished than a backpack. Fashion bloggers love it, and there’s no surprise why! Wear it with jeans and a neutral colored tee, or add it to a professional outfit and wear it to work.

Blush colored Henley Blouse: Looking for a subtle way to wear the color? This pretty blouse is between a mauve and blush color, and can be tucked into a high-rise pair of jeans for an effortless look. We would add gold stud earrings, and some light brown flats to round out a pretty and polished look. Find this henley at Nordstrom, for under $40. If you are looking for something with a bit more flair, this off-the-shoulder ruffle top is really fun and has a lot of personality.

Blush earrings: Earrings are a very small way to incorporate the pink trend into your accessories, and although these Kendra Scott earrings have a hefty price tag, they are so elegant, and can be worn with tees or dresses. We love just about everything from Kendra Scott, and you can find lots of soft pinks in their current lines. If you can’t quite splurge on these tiny baubles, you can consider these druzy dangles that are half the price.

Ready to add in this pretty hue to your spring clothing and accessories? These options are just a start! And of course, we are always available to help you plan your senior wardrobe (blush would look fabulous for any senior shoot)!
